April 27, 2024 - Saturday of the Fourth Week of Easter

“Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes in me will do the works that I do, and will do greater ones than these, because I am going to the Father. And whatever you ask in my name, I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything of me in my name, I will do it.” John 14:12–14

Are you ready to embrace the calling to do greater works than Jesus Himself did? It may seem like a daunting task, but it is indeed true. Our Lord has promised us this incredible opportunity to be used powerfully by God. The key lies in sharing the Gospel to the ends of the earth, a task that Jesus entrusted to us when He ascended to Heaven and sent the Holy Spirit. This act of converting hearts is the greatest work we can participate in.

Deep down, we all yearn to do something great, to make a difference in the world. However, true greatness is often misunderstood. It is not found in worldly recognition or material wealth. True greatness lies in fulfilling the will of God for our lives. By seeking to align our desires with His will, we open ourselves up to His grace and the opportunity to bring His saving love to others.

Take a moment to reflect on the desires within your heart. Do you feel the urge to do something extraordinary? Embrace that feeling and channel it towards fulfilling God's will. Ask Him to use you as an instrument of His grace, to bring light and hope to those around you. By aligning your desires with His will, you will find true fulfillment and purpose in life.

Embracing this type of prayer calls for humility and a willingness to let go of our own desires. It entails seeking only what the Son requests from the Father on our behalf. The beautiful outcome of such a humble prayer is that God will shower His grace and mercy upon others through us. This is His divine plan.

Providential Lord, Your will is perfect and glorious. Please help me to humble myself before You, every day, so that I will understand Your will for my life and choose it always. May I be an instrument of Your saving grace to all whom You wish to touch through me. Amen..
